Medical Care

Valley Medical Centerlocated in Renton, is the largest non-profit medical provider between Seattle and Tacoma.  Operated by Public Hospital District 1, it is the oldest and largest of 56 hospital districts in the state of Washington.   Valley Medical Center provides comprehensive, quality medical care to greater South King County.  Services include medical, surgical, and 24-hour emergency care, plus specialized treatment in cardiology, oncology, high-risk obstetrics, orthopedics, neurology, and pediatrics. Valley Medical Center also operates a network of primary care centers and clinics throughout South King County. 

Besides Valley Medical Center, there are more than 25 hospitals in King County.  Harborview Medical Center in Seattle is the regions Level I trauma and burn center, serving the states of Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.  Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center is the premier pediatric referral center for the Pacific Northwest and is recognized as one of the top children's hospitals in the country.  Seattle is also home to the world-renowned Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer.

Affordable Medical Care

The Renton Community Health Center offers affordable health care for the whole family, including immunizations and maternity care. The Renton Public Health Center provides immunizations and Tuberculosis testing and screening.  King County also operates a Teen Health Clinic in Renton.  For children or people over age 60, the Renton Dental Clinic can provide dental care.
