Swimming Beaches

The City of Renton has two guarded swimming beaches at the south end of Lake Washington. Both Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park and Kennydale Beach Park swimming beaches have lifeguards on duty from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily in the summer.

Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park (originally Lake Washington Beach Park) consists of 53 acres of land and water area at the southeast corner of Lake Washington and offers a unique opportunity for water-related recreational enjoyment. Visit the park between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and dusk year-round. The public is reminded that animals, alcohol, rollerblades, and bike touring are not allowed at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park.
