Traffic Advisory: Large Numbers of Bicyclists to Pass Through Renton June 20

RENTON, WA — Motorists should expect to encounter large numbers of bicyclists on several streets in north Renton and along the shores of Lake Washington on June 20, 2010. Bicyclists participating in the Livestrong Challenge, a signature fundraiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, will be passing through Renton sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on that day.

  • Coal Creek Parkway
  • May Valley Road
  • Lake Washington Boulevard North between SE 74th Way and Logan Avenue
  • Logan Avenue
  • Renton Memorial Stadium
  • Airport Way
  • Rainier Avenue North

Drivers are advised to be alert for bicyclists along these routes between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and exercise extreme caution to avoid accidents.
