Renton Heart Month Campaign Wins Top Award at National Communications and Marketing Association Conference

Heart Month PassportRenton, WA—“Passport to a Healthy Heart,” the City of Renton’s campaign designed to increase awareness about heart health has been recognized with a Savvy Silver Circle award by the national City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA).

3CMA is a national organization of more than 900 government communications officers, marketing and public relations professionals.  One of the highlights of the annual conference is the Savvy awards that recognize outstanding communications and outreach projects. This year’s award presentation took place on September 9, 2010 at 3CMA’s annual conference in Atlanta, GA.

3CMA Silver Circle Award“This award recognizes the value of an innovative and well-coordinated campaign,” said Don Persson, Renton City Council President. “There is stiff competition from around the country for the Savvy awards and this national recognition is a testament to the hard work done by city staff charged with communicating effectively and creatively to our citizens.”
