Carco Artist Marianne MaksirisombatThe Renton Municipal Arts Commission proudly presents local artist Marianne Maksirisombat. New artwork will be debuted in this exhibit on display August 29 – October 14. Members of the public are welcome to attend the artist reception on Saturday, September 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to view the art and meet the artist.

Marianne Maksirisombat is a local Seattle artist who works in three dimensional canvas and formed steel in addition to traditional flat canvas. Her paintings are bold and rich in color and texture and bring the experience into the viewer's personal space. These paintings and formed steel pieces change throughout the day, via shadows and shifting light. It is impossible to capture the three dimensions of the paintings with a photograph, so to see these paintings in person is essential. She is also a community arts center founder and advocate for arts.

More of Ms. Maksirisombat's work can be viewed on her website at www.missmarianne.com.

Carco Theatre, adjacent to the Renton Community Center, is located at 1717 Maple Valley Highway at the intersection of I-405 and Maple Valley Highway. Theatre hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with additional viewing on show nights.
