The City of Renton is in a great central location in the Greater Seattle area for business and pleasure travelers. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is just six miles away and the cities of Seattle and Bellevue are 11 and eight miles away, respectively. Renton's central location also makes it a perfect place to stay visitors taking day trips to the Cascade Mountains, Olympic Peninsula, South Puget Sound, or other cities and places throughout the beautiful Pacific Northwest region.

The Puget Sound area has many popular entertainment, sports, and recreation venues. The Seahawks, Mariners, Storm, Sounders, and Thunderbirds all call Seattle home. In 2008, the Seahawks moved their training camp and headquarters to Renton. The new world-class Virginia Mason Athletic Center has the capacity for 3,000 fans per day during training camp held each August.
While in Renton, be sure to enjoy our many parks and trails or spend some time shopping at regional magnets like IKEA, Fry's Electronics, or the Renton Auto Mall. There are also many local shopping opportunities throughout the City, but particularly in Downtown Renton and at The Landing. Nearby activities include the Family Fun Center (where visitors can ride go-karts or play miniature golf or lazer tag), the Museum of Flight (the largest aviation museum on the west coast), and Emerald Downs thoroughbred racetrack.
There are many transportation options for visitors to the City of Renton including Shuttle Express, rental cars, Busses, Amtrak, and commuter rail.
If you fly into Renton Municipal Airport from a foreign country you will need to go to U.S. Customs Service for processing.
