Renton Fire Department Information

The Renton Fire & Emergency Services Department is a fully paid Department.  It serves the City of Renton and also King county Fire district's 25 and 40.  There are 134 uniform personnel and 19 support staff which protect the community and personnel through Response Operations (fire, aid, technical rescue, and hazmat), Community Risk Reduction, and Safety and Support Services.  The Department has six stations in two battalions with a seventh station on the horizon.  Each battalion has an assigned Battalion Chief/Safety Officer.  Mark Peterson is the Fire Chief/Emergency Services Administrator.

Renton Police Department Information

The Renton Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency, organized in six divisions; Patrol Operations, Patrol Services, Investigations, Administrative Services, Staff Services and Special Operations. The Renton Police Department is proud to be recognized as a fully accredited agency by both the State of Washington and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

We take great pride in the quality of our personnel and the services they provide, which include:  Animal Control, Bicycle Patrol, K-9, School Resource Office, Volunteer Program, Vacation Home Security, Traffic, Narcotics, Emergency Services, Citizen's Academy, Valley Narcotics Enforcement Team (V.N.E.T.), Neighborhood & Business Watch.
