The Renton Emergency Preparedness Academy (REPA) is a partnership between the City of Renton, the Renton Regional Fire Authorityand Renton Technical College, providing courses designed to help people be better equipped to face any type of emergency.

Sign up for classes online, by calling 425-430-6700, or in person at the Renton Community Center.

Community Emergency Response Team

CERT Fire SuppressionCERT) training teaches individuals how to prepare their homes and neighborhoods to respond to a disaster through a combination of classroom and hands on training.

First Aid and CPR

The Renton Regional Fire Authority offers free Friends and Family CPR Training to learn life-saving skills without getting certified.

First Aid/CPR/AED certification classes are offered by Renton Community Services for a fee.

The American Red Cross and the American Heart Association also offer First Aid and CPR certification classes for a fee.

Request a Speaker

A speaker from Renton Emergency Management may be able to speak at a meeting or event of 15 or more people, depending on staff availability. Presentations are only available on weekdays and to groups within city limits.
