Dec. 10 - Washington state COVID-19 vaccination allocation guidelines (Phase 1 only)
Nov. 30 - WA Notify is a new tool that works through smartphones, without sharing any personal information, to alert users if they may have been exposed to COVID-19. It is completely private, and doesn’t know or track who you are or where you go.
Oct. 28 - The Washington State Department of Health is collaborating with Safeway and Albertsons to offer no-cost flu vaccines for uninsured adults over 18. The Washington State Department of Health is concerned that the presence of the flu and COVID-19 viruses could lead to a high number of hospitalizations and strain our state’s health care system.
Twenty-three Albertsons and Safeway pharmacies across the state will offer flu vaccines free of charge through June 2021 to uninsured adults. The pharmacies will not charge an administration fee, and proof of residency or immigration status will not be required. The Safeway Pharmacy (200 S 3rd St., Renton, WA 98057) is participating. Their number is (425) 226-0325.

April 1 – Gov. Inslee issued additional guidance on the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order related to essential businesses. It clarifies as “essential” nannies (who are deemed essential if they are in the home taking care of children of essential workers), automotive repair facilities and limited automotive sales and leasing activities, and renewable energies. The bulletin also includes guidance that recreational fishing and golf are NOT deemed essential.

March 27 - Gov. Inslee welcomes Army doctors to coronavirus field hospital in Seattle.
March 23 - Governor announces a stay at home order, banning all gatherings and closing all but those businesses classified by the Federal guidelines as essential. The ban will take effect on March 25 and be in place for a minimum of two weeks. The governor indicated the order is voluntary in nature, it is enforceable by law. Resident will be able to conduct essential business (shopping, doctor’s appointments) and restaurants cans still conduct business via to-go orders. [Spanish]
