Memorial Day 2023
The City of Renton honors military veterans each Memorial Day in a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park.

To honor the brave men and women who have lost their lives in service to our country, please join city staff, Frank R. Vaise VFW Post #1263, and Fred Hancock, American Legion Post #19, at our annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 29, at 1 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park (523 S. Third St.).
Featured Speaker: Col. Jack Mushallo, brigade commander with the Army National Guard.
Welcomes: Mayor Armondo Pavone and Darrell Pilat from VFW Post #1263 in Renton.
Singers: Lindbergh High School students senior Devin Bounyavong-Santos and sophomore Alana Edwards will also sing our National Anthem and America The Beautiful.
Museum: Renton History Museum offers free admission and is open before and after the ceremony, from 12 to 3 p.m. Their feature exhibit is “People of the Inside,” the story of the Duwamish before and after white settlers came to Renton.

All city facilities are closed on May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.
