Mayor Denis Law, City Council President Don Persson, Police Chief Ed VanValey share their reasons why River Days is such an important part of the city's fabric.

Members of the 2019 event board share how River Days became a part of their life at a young age and how those experiences led them to volunteer for this uniquely Renton event.

Tradition. Community. Togetherness. These are just three of the reasons the VanderMeulens have made Renton River Days a family tradition since moving to Renton in 2007 from Michigan. From the Saturday morning parade featuring bands, drill teams and fire trucks, to lunch and the circus on the lawn, they have found this Renton tradition has something for everyone.

You would not be surprise to know that it takes an entire community to put on an event as diverse as Renton River Days. In this documentary hear first-hand how the festival has grown from humble beginning to the community-wide event we enjoy today.
