Renton's Severe Weather Shelter is now open 24 hours
Located at the Highlands Neighborhood Center (800 Edmonds Avenue NE), the shelter will open Dec. 27, at 8 p.m. and remain open until 7 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022.
Shelter information is available by calling 2-1-1 (Crisis Connections)
The shelter's capacity is 22-25 people. It has separate sleeping spaces for single women, single men, couples, and homeless families with children living on the streets. Snacks, food, and warm beverages are provided.
REACH staff operates this is a mat on floor shelter. All must register at the door.
The shelter will follow COVID guidelines to help ensure the health and safety of clients and staff.
