Renton's Skate Park is located in Liberty Park and offers exciting thrills for children, families and skating enthusiasts - quarter pipes and skateable artwork, highlights such as a twinkie, a funbox, mounds, bowls, a half pipe and more.
The Skate Park covers about 8,400 square feet and includes obstacles for all abilities - 2 bowls, hips (2 ramps meet at an angle), quarter pipes and halfpipes (curved ramps), a funbox (includes ledges and railing) and a twinkie (elongated, curved ramp). Artwork includes whoop-de-dos - a series of hump-like ramps - that mimic the motion of water.
The inclusion of skateable artwork was funded by the Renton Municipal Arts Commission's '1% for Art' program.
