Kiwanis Park, originally known as President’s Park in the early 1960’s, has been included in the Parks, Recreation and Natural Areas Plan as well as identified in the 2019 $14.5 million Parks Bond as a high priority project for major site improvements. The park is over 50 years old and showing signs of age as well changing recreational needs of the community.
Major site improvements include:

Removal of activity building replaced with parent plaza, shelter and Portland Loo restroom

Ball field and multi-use field renovation – improved natural turf outfield, synthetic all-weather infield, upgraded field irrigation and drainage, covered dugouts and new back stop

Upgraded utility services and improved site drainage/stormwater management
Design work began in February 2020. Construction will start on April 26, 2022.
