Maplewood Golf Course

Maplewood Golf Course is a public facility.  The course was voted “Best Public Golf Course” four years in a row from the “Reader’s Choice Award” of the South County Journal. This par 72 layout is challenging and fun for golfers of all skill levels, plays to just over 6,100 yards from the back tees, and boasts the best public greens in the Puget Sound region. With tree-lined fairways, ponds, creeks, and a friendly staff, our course is well maintained, walkable and fun to play year-round.

  • A 30-station covered and heated driving range, which is lighted for extended operating hours.

  • A full service, well-stocked pro shop, offering a wide selection of competitively priced merchandise, (special orders are welcome).

  • The River Rock Grill, one of the area’s best restaurants - offering a full-service bar, patio and spacious banquet facility.

  • Lessons from highly qualified teaching staff. Most lessons are held in the driving range however, on-course playing lessons can be scheduled.

Maplewood GC History

Maplewood Golf Course is over 90 years old and worth the drive. Whether it’s your first time, or you haven’t visited in a while, come experience one of the best public courses in the Pacific Northwest.

Maplewood was originally built in 1927 and was purchased by the City of Renton in 1985. Four new holes on the east side of the Cedar River were constructed in 1987 by Northwest designer John Steldel, and construction of the new clubhouse and driving range  was completed in 1995. In May of 2009, Maplewood became the 12th course in the state to earn the distinction of being designated a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
