Renton River Days returns on July 22 and 23

Renton River Days, our annual family festival and community celebration, returns on July 22 and 23 with two days of family-oriented events and activities. This year’s theme is “On the Road Again.”

The first activity, Road Trip Around Renton, is already underway. The "trip" is a self-guided tour of the city with a chance to win prizes. You can register online. Use the keyword “Road Trip.”

Friday, July 22
4:30–8:30 p.m., Piazza Park (233 Burnett Ave S.)

  • Live music & entertainment

  • Urban Market vendors

  • Craft beer & wine garden

  • Downtown restaurants

Dusk, Liberty Park (1101 Bronson Way N.)

  • “Encanto,” a free family movie.

Saturday, July 23

8 a.m., Renton Senior Activity Center (211 Burnett Ave. N.)

  • 5K Fun Walks, 3 routes (Renton Hill, Downtown, or Gene Coulon); start table on the river side of Center

10 a.m., S. Third St.

  • Photo of Kenny Rogers, Renton City MarketParade. Grand Marshal, Kenny Rogers, owner, Rain City Catering, Rain City Too Food Truck, and Rain City Market
  • Two road closures downtown on Saturday:
  • All lanes of S. 3rd Street (through Houser Way N.) will be closed from 7 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • At noon, the right lane of S. 3rd Street (through Houser Way N.) will re-open. However, the left lane will remain closed until 5 p.m.
  • Logan Ave. S., will close between S. 2nd Street and S. 3rd Street from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

10 a.m.–5 p.m., Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park (1201 Lake Washington Blvd. N.)

  • Antique & Classic Boat Show
