Open year round the four-acre Cedar River Dog Park is located on the site of the historic Denny Clay Company, alongside the Cedar River Trail. Two entrances provide access to a large, open area and a smaller enclosure for small and shy dogs. The Dog Park includes two shade structures, benches and an agility course. Water is available in the main off-leash area from April through October, and dog owners should bring drinking water for their dogs between November and March.

Created by citizen volunteers and donors in 2009, the Dog Park is now managed and maintained by the City of Renton Parks and Trails Division.

Join your dog-loving neighbors in a park where all varieties of dogs have fun being off-leash and free.

Trail Update

FOR YOUR SAFETY please follow directions on all posted signage.

The Cedar River Trail narrows to one lane next to riverbank erosion that occurred following the Cedar River flood event in February, between the Cedar River Dog Park and Riverview Park. Bicyclists yield to pedestrians and USE EXTREME CAUTION in this area. City staff are working to secure a plan for repairs to re-open the trail as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.
