Impact Traffic Report

Week of Jan. 25, 2021

Inclement Weather Response Reminder

The Public Works Department would like to remind residents to help us prevent local residential street flooding by monitoring catch basins near your home and keep them clear of leaves and other debris. Street sweepers are dispatched daily to clean up debris along major arterials.

Cold weather is on the way

The Public Works Department will be applying deicer to major arterials as needed. During snow events it is imperative that motorists do not park or abandon their vehicles within any portion of the traffic lanes. Abandoned vehicles impair snow and ice removal, impact response of emergency vehicles and may be towed. Please remember that during snow and ice events the department sanders and snow plows are dispatched to keep major arterials drivable. You can see our deicing and snow routes online.

The projects are weather permitting and unless otherwise noted streets always remain open.

The project will also build infrastructure to support bus rapid transit. The work will involve several overnight lane closures in the coming weeks.

This work is subject to change. Please check the WSDOT I-405 construction updates webpage for the most up-to-date information.
