Contribute talents and energy toward providing a richer quality of life for Renton. The volunteer program provides a broad source of expertise, talent, and people power for city programs, as well as an avenue for residents to participate in their local government.

City of Renton volunteer opportunities include  one time events, and on-going/seasonal programs.

On-going or seasonal volunteer opportunities

Renton Youth Council

The Renton Youth Council (RYC) consists of teens who attend middle or high school in Renton. Recreation division staff, organize group activities, provides instruction about youth issues, and coordinates volunteer activities at community events.

Specialized Recreation

The Specialized Recreation Program provides a variety of inclusive recreational opportunities, as well as adaptive programs designed for individuals with disabilities.

Volunteers are needed to coach sports teams, assist with social functions, art program and participate in our inclusive theater production.

Renton citizens devote their energy, time, and expertise to serve as appointed members on boards, and commissions or as volunteers on various advisory committees.

The City of Renton does not have volunteer opportunities to assist individuals who have court-ordered community service.
