The Adaptive Recreation Program is pleased to provide a variety of inclusive recreational opportunities as well as adaptive programs for persons with disabilities. Our program provides an opportunity to participate in group leisure and recreational activities in the least restrictive environment possible. We welcome and encourage youth and adults with special needs to register for all programs offered, not just the programs listed on this page.

Pre-registration is required for all programs. You can register over the phone by calling our Adaptive Recreation Coordinator 425-430-6748, visiting us in-person at the Renton Community Center(1715 Maple Valley Hwy) or Don Persson Senior Activity Center (211 Burnett Ave N).

You can also register online! Visit the link below to view all of our Adaptive Recreation Programs or register! An account must be created online to login and register.

Join Our Special Olympics Team!

Special Olympics strives to create a better world by fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people. Many of the Adaptive Recreation sports we offer here in Renton will be in line with what Special Olympics is doing that season.

To be eligible to participate in official Special Olympics Tournaments all athletes must register as an athlete with Special Olympics Washington. You can create a profile, or update an existing profile on their website. You can find all of the details here:

Special Olympics Registration Portal

*You can still participate with Renton Adaptive Recreation without clearance from Special Olympics, but in order to participate in tournaments, you must register as an athlete to insure your eligibility.*
