The city administers several licenses including special event permits, public dances, and dance hall licenses. Other licenses issued by the city include:
Peddler permit
All persons, both principals and agents, as well as employers and employees, who sell, offer for, or expose for sale, or who shall trade, deal, or traffic in any personal property or services in the city by going from house to house or from place to place or by indiscriminately approaching individuals must apply individually for a peddler's permit. The process to obtain a peddler permit is as follows:
- The business that the peddler is working for must first obtain a Renton business license.
- The business must submit a list of the names of all individuals expected to apply for a peddler permit.
- Once a Renton business license has been obtained, the Peddler Permit application must be completed.
- Submit the competed Peddler Permit application and $75 registration fee to the City of Renton.
Peddler permits are annual licenses and expire on December 31 of each year. Additional information can be found in RMC 5-20.
Adult entertainer
Any person who provides adult live entertainment in an adult entertainment business must apply for an Adult Entertainer license.
- Complete the Adult Entertainer license application.
- Submit the completed Adult Entertainer license application with all required attachments and $75 registration fee to the City of Renton.
Adult Entertainer licenses are annual licenses and expire on January 31 of each year. Additional information can be found in RMC 5-12.
Entertainer manager
Any person who manages, directs, administers, or is in charge of the affairs and/or conduct of an adult entertainment business must apply for an Adult Entertainer license.
- Complete the Adult Entertainer license application.
- Submit the completed Adult Entertainer license application with all required attachments and $75 registration fee to the City of Renton.
Adult Entertainer licenses are annual licenses and expire on January 31 of each year. Additional information can be found in RMC 5-12-9.
