Renton’s extensive park system is the result of involving the public in long-term visioning and planning. The city’s 2020 Parks, Recreation and Natural Areas Plan ensures the city’s park needs meet current demand and builds capacity for future generations.

The Parks Planning and Development team responds to locally-based needs, values and conditions, while protecting the integrity and quality of the surrounding natural systems, to transform ideas into parks, trails, open space and facilities.
