Recycling Event: Styrofoam, Plastic Bags, Document Shred

Attend the September 13 special recycling event hosted by the city's Sustainability and Solid Waste team. Staff will be accepting Styrofoam, plastic bags, and documents for shredding. During the collection, residents can bring:

• Styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap (Bagged packing peanuts accepted)
• Clean white block Styrofoam (Look for #6 or EPS inside the recycle symbol)
• Grocery bags, film, clean food bags, plastic amazon envelopes
• Up to four boxes of documents for shredding (banker size 12"x15"x10") or equivalent in bags (Paper, blueprints, mail, photographs, and file folders accepted. No need to remove staples, paper clips, or rubber bands)

Items that CANNOT be donated:

• NO hard plastics, tarps, toys or totes
• NO tape or labels
• NO binders, plastics or discs
• NO ID badges or driver’s licenses
• NO cardboard or hard cover books

   

Non-perishable food donations will be collected at each event to help Renton neighbors in need. Donations will be provided to the local food bank.
