The City of Renton Emergency Management division is currently monitoring the atmospheric river event and potential impact to the Cedar River and surrounding low-lying areas. Text updates are available through Alert Renton for emergency notifications. Monitoring updates will be posted to rentonwa.gov/emergencyinfo and shared on city social channels as available.
The Parks Commission is an advisory board to the Mayor, City Council and city staff providing public input and recommending policies to conduct recreation or cultural activities and to control and supervise all parks belonging to the city. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m.
