Come Teach in Renton!

Bring your passion to the community and inspire others through the Renton Parks and Recreation Department! 

The City of Renton is looking for enthusiastic instructors, volunteers, and program partners to help create engaging activities and experiences for the nearly 110,000 residents who call Renton home. Whether you teach art, fitness, dance, sports, music, wellness, outdoor recreation, or something entirely unique — we want to hear from you! 

Recreation activity proposals are accepted year-round, and there are three ways to join our team: 

1. Volunteer with Renton Parks and Recreation 
2. Become a City Staff Member

*Contractors must carry their own insurance and obtain a City of Renton Business License*

When you join the Renton Parks and Recreation community, you’ll receive:

Seasonal Timeline

Recreation programs operate on a seasonal schedule. Please follow the application deadlines below:

• Fall Season (September–December): Applications due May 15
• Winter Season (January–April): Applications due September 15
• Spring/Summer Season (May–August): Applications due January 15
