Delayed start March 22: King County Solid Waste facilities

King County's 11 solid waste facilities, including the Renton Transfer Station, will have a delayed start on Sunday, March 22.

The nearest three facilities to Renton will be delayed three hours and will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m

The service is managed by the King County Solid Waste Division for King County residents or businesses to drop off garbage, recycling, and other types of waste for a disposal fee.

Complete list of delays for all King County Solid Waste facilities

On Sunday, March 22, King County Solid Waste Division recommends the following delayed facility opening hours to accommodate an Operations All-Staff Meeting:

  • Algona Transfer Station: 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.  
  • Bow Lake Recycling and Transfer Station: 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.  
  • Cedar Falls Drop Box: 12:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.  
  • Enumclaw Recycling and Transfer Station: 12:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.  
  • Factoria Recycling and Transfer Station: 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.  
  • Houghton Recycling and Transfer Station: 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.  
  • Renton Recycling and Transfer Station: 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.  
  • Shoreline Recycling and Transfer Station: 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.  
  • Skykomish Drop Box (summer hours): 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (no change)  
  • Vashon Recycling and Transfer Station: 12:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.  
  • Cedar Hills Regional Landfill (closed to the general public): 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
