CELEBRATE 250: Your Guide to a Fun & Safe 4th of July

Join us on Saturday, July 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cedar River Park for a fun-filled community day celebration packed with classic summer activities for all ages!  

  • Enjoy delicious hot dogs and refreshments  
  • Play a variety of games in the Stars and Stripes Game Zone  
  • Cheer on participants competing in the Hot Dog Hustle 5K
  • Have the kids participate in the Play Ball Baseball/Softball Challenge*
  • Top it all off at the Stars and Stripes Splash Zone* at the Henry Moses Aquatic Center while you listen to music that brings the park to life.  

This festive day will be a great way to celebrate with family and friends and connect with your neighbors. We look forward to celebrating with you!

HOLIDAY & SUMMER REMINDERS 

Before you fire up the grill or head outdoors, remember: 

  • Fireworks are illegal in the City of Renton & unincorporated King County
    • Report violations within city limits by calling 911.
    • Report violations in unincorporated King County online or by calling 206-848-0800 
  • All city facilities (except Maplewood Golf Course) are closed on Friday, July 3 
    • Maplewood Golf Course’s Pro Shop closing at 5:30 p.m. and Driving Range at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 4 
  • Enjoy recreation activities responsibly 
    • Reserve outdoor spaces and picnic shelters when possible; otherwise, use is first-come, first-serve 
    • Wear a life jacket when near or on the water 
    • Be mindful of park rules, posted signage, and closing times 
    • Pack out trash and leave public spaces clean for other visitors 
    • Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and take breaks in the shade

MODIFIED PARK HOURS AT COULON PARK 

Please note that Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park, including the Boat Launch, and the Boat Launch Parking Lot, and Kennydale Beach will close at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026.  

Starting Sunday, July 5 and going forward, the boat launch will close with the park at 10 p.m.

Visitors planning to use the boat launch or moorage facilities should be aware that all moorage locations, the boat launch, and the surrounding park areas will not be accessible after 7 p.m.
