Today, November 2, 2026, marks the end of the Renton Police Department's contract with FLOCK camera operators. At the August 10, 2026, Council meeting, Chief Jon Schuldt informed Council that, based on ongoing community input and discussions, RPD would remove the auto-renewal feature language in the contract, thus ending the contract on November 2, 2026.
With today's contract renewal deadline, the Renton Police Department has not renewed the contract. Any further action would need to be at the direction of Renton City Council.
