Keeping utility rates affordable for our residents is a key priority for us. We work hard to keep costs low, but some households may need additional support.
The Utility Tax Rebate Program offers partial reimbursement of city utility taxes for low‑income seniors (61+) and low‑income residents with permanent disabilities. If you’ve already qualified for reduced utility rates, your rebate will automatically be processed. All other eligible participants can apply now through June 15.

If you’ve applied in the past, be sure to apply again. You must reapply each year to continue receiving the rebate.
How to apply
Applications are available online at rentonwa.gov/utilitybilling or can be picked up in person in the Renton City Hall lobby.
Please submit your application in-person to the finance counter on the 1st floor lobby of city hall or email at ub@rentonwa.gov before June 15.
