Preparedness: Ready in Renton

In the event of a major disaster, existing resources can be quickly overwhelmed. Professional emergency responders and normal city services such as fire, police, emergency medical personal, and public works, might not be able to reach everyone who needs help for an extended period of time.

You need to be ready to take care of yourself and your household. Working with family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors can help ensure that our community is prepared for and resilient to disasters. There are simple steps you can take that go a long way to helping your household and loved ones be prepared for emergencies. Be assured that you don’t have to spend a lot of time or money to be prepared.

Together, we can all get Ready in Renton!

A wide variety of emergency preparedness and response classes are available through the Renton Emergency Preparedness Academy (REPA) or Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
