Completing site work, utility connections, or improvements within the public right-of-way often requires specific construction permits. Our Development Engineering team supports this process by reviewing plans and issuing permits for grading, drainage, utility installations, and frontage improvements. These permits ensure that construction activities align with city standards for safety, infrastructure protection, and long-term functionality.

Civil Construction Permit

You want to apply for the civil construction permit for site work, frontage improvements, etc.

Right-of-Way Permit

You want to perform work or use the public right-of-way in a way that impacts or occupies the area.

Utility Permits

You want to alter, repair, expand, or connect/disconnect an existing sewer, water, or storm systems.

Traffic Control Plan

You want to obtain an approved Traffic Control Plan to be able to begin construction.

Inspections may be scheduled as late as 11:59 p.m. on the day prior to the requested inspection. This benefit prevents us from offering time windows in advance. On the day of your inspection, visit the Online Permit Portal and select "Today's Inspections". You may use your inspector's contact information to coordinate a time window.
