Recycling Event: Metal & Styrofoam Collection

Attend the May 17 special recycling event hosted by the city's Sustainability and Solid Waste team. Staff will be accepting scrap metal, large appliances, and Styrofoam. During the collection, residents can bring:

• Auto parts, lawn chairs, water heaters, lawn mowers, bikes, iron and steel (REMOVE all wheels and nonmetal parts; REMOVE oil and fluids from auto parts and mowers)
• Styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap (Bagged packing peanuts accepted)
• Clean white block Styrofoam (Look for #6 or EPS inside the recycle symbol)

Items that CANNOT be donated:

• NO television sets or computers
• NO car chassis
• NO refrigerators, dishwashers or microwaves
• NO tape or labels

MAY 17 ONLY! Donate Arts & Crafts Items

Seattle ReCreative will be accepting arts and craft items including:

• Sewing: fabric larger the 1/4 yd, notions such as ribbon/trim. NO scraps, curtains, clothing or linens
• Fiber Crafts: yarn, crochet hooks, and knitting needles General Supplies: scissors, glue/glue guns, pipe cleaners, pom poms, markers, and crayons
• Fine Art Supplies: paint (acrylic, watercolor, oil), brushes, pastels, pencils, printmaking supplies, paper, and canvas

Non-perishable food donations will be collected at each event to help Renton neighbors in need. Donations will be provided to the local food bank.
