Renton Art Lounge Pop-Up Series

The Art Lounge is taking creativity on the road! This pop-up series creates a welcoming space for artists to connect, network, share ideas, exchange experiences, and build relationships with other creatives in the community.

Designed as a place for artists of all backgrounds and experience levels, Art Lounge offers opportunities to meet fellow makers, discuss challenges and opportunities, spark new ideas, and grow creative connections, while enjoying hands-on art activities and artist-led experiences in a relaxed, community setting.

July Art Lounge: Clay Hand Building at Macadons

Join artist Judith Jacques at Macadons for a hands-on clay hand-building workshop. Learn basic techniques, experiment with form and texture, and create your own unique piece while enjoying a fun and relaxed creative environment.

All supplies are provided—just bring your imagination and a willingness to get your hands a little messy!

August Art Lounge: Kolam Art at Legacy Square

This month’s Art Lounge invites creatives of all skill levels to slow down, relax, and explore the beautiful tradition of Kolam art at Legacy Square.

Join local artists for a fun and welcoming outdoor session where we’ll learn about this South Indian art form and create our own designs using simple patterns and techniques. Kolam is a meditative, geometric style of floor art traditionally created with rice flour as a daily practice of creativity, mindfulness, and connection.

Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with patterns and create temporary designs on the ground or floor boards.

Take a break, connect with fellow creatives, and enjoy an afternoon of art in the open air.
