The City of Renton Emergency Management division is currently monitoring the atmospheric river event and potential impact to the Cedar River and surrounding low-lying areas. Text updates are available through Alert Renton for emergency notifications. Monitoring updates will be posted to rentonwa.gov/emergencyinfo and shared on city social channels as available.
Members serve in an advisory capacity to the mayor and Renton City Council on matters referred to the committee by the city council. Their primary function is to provide a forum for members of the community to discuss their concerns directly with airport operators and for collaborative problem solving and resolution of their issues. The committee meets on second Tuesday of February, May, September and November, at 5 p.m. at Renton City Hall, 7th Floor Conferencing Center 726.
