The wait is over—and it’s time to celebrate! After months of anticipation, the construction fences came down on December 23, and playtime officially began at Maplewood Park.

Join Mayor Pavone and Renton Parks & Recreation for the official ribbon cutting ceremony as we celebrate a job well done and a space built for fun, fitness, and community.

What’s new at Maplewood Park

• Updated Play Equipment: Brand-new play features for children of all ages, including slides, swings, monkey bars, and climbing structures
• New Fitness Equipment: Outdoor fitness stations for pull-ups, sit-ups, and push-ups
• ADA Accessibility: New pathways that make the park fully accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy the space

What to expect on event day

• Official ribbon cutting with the Mayor Pavone
• Time to explore the new playground and fitness equipment
• A community celebration with neighbors and friends
• Donuts for attendees (because celebrations are better with treats!)
