Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)

CPTED focuses on preventing crime by designing your physical environment to positively influence human behavior.

Business Watch

This program partners businesses with the police department to reduce crime.

Neighborhood Watch

This program partners police with a group of people living in the same area who want to make their neighborhood and community a safer place to live.

Renton Police Safe Place

The Renton PD Safe Place Program provides a safe space for victims of hate crimes who feel threatened. These locations offer a welcoming place where victims can call the police and wait safely for help to arrive.

Hate Crimes and Bias-related Incidents

Learn what a hate crime and bias-related incident are and how to report them and why it is important to do so.

Crime Prevention Library

Find resources to help protect you and your family from common crimes. Please do not hesitate to call 911 for an active incident.

Camera Registration Program

Register your surveillance camera with Renton Police to help solve crime and protect our community.

False Alarm Reduction Program

False alarms consume time and resources. This program aims to reduce the number of false alarms, allowing officers to concentrate on public safety issues. Alarm registration is required for monitored systems in homes or businesses.
