Camera Registration Program

The Renton Police Department is partnering with our community to build a voluntary camera registry called Connect Renton. This registry, for both home and business owners, lets officers know there is a camera at your location. If a crime occurs in the vicinity, an investigator may contact you by email and ask for assistance in solving it.

Registering does not give Renton Police access to your live or recorded video. You stay in control; sharing footage is always your choice.

After registering, businesses or multifamily dwellings with security cameras may choose to integrate their systems by purchasing a CORE device. You must register first. 

Why Register? 

• Our interactive map of security cameras will:
• Help investigators locate nearby cameras after an incident
• Provide contact information so officers can quickly request footage rather than going door to door
• Improve the speed and efficiency of collecting video evidence
• Strengthen collaboration to improve safety and solve crimes

How to Register

Registration is simple, secure, and takes less than a minute. You'll be asked to provide your name, email address, and phone number, plus the number and locations of your camera(s).
