The City of Renton is preparing the 2027–2028 biennial budget, which guides the services we provide you, and your input is essential. Our community-wide budget survey is open now through May 13.
Some residents may have already received an email or text from our research partner, ReconMR. If you’ve already taken the survey, thank you — your voice truly matters.
If you did not receive the survey, we’d love to hear your feedback at rentonwa.gov/budgetsurvey.
The survey is available in English, Spanish, Chinese (simplified), Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Russian.
The city’s budget is updated every two years to meet the evolving needs of our growing community and to fund solutions that make a real difference in your daily life. Your input plays a vital role in shaping these decisions. The process begins by listening to you, alongside priorities from the mayor, council, and city leaders. Together, this collaboration shapes the final budget, which is then reviewed and approved by the Renton City Council.
A city budget is the roadmap for how your tax dollars are invested in essential services that enhance the quality of life for all residents. It sets priorities that affect your everyday experience, like public safety, transportation, parks, and infrastructure. By participating in the budget process, you help shape the community’s needs and priorities, guiding Renton’s shared vision for the future.
Take the survey by May 13 at rentonwa.gov/budgetsurvey.
