Excitement is building for 2026, and Legacy Square will be at the center of it all! The City of Renton invites community groups, artists, performers, and local organizations to activate Legacy Square with free, inclusive programming from July 20 to October 1, 2026.

As highlighted in the city’s announcement of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) 2026 tourism funding, a special emphasis was placed on events and activities centered around Legacy Square that celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup—alongside events hosted at local hotels.

To further support community involvement during the World Cup, the City of Renton has issued a Request for Interest (RFI), inviting community groups to propose events and activities for Legacy Square. Submissions are due by January 9.

To learn more about the steps to submit and event criteria, read on.
