Honoring the City Staff Behind Renton’s Court System
Published on April 24, 2026
Working in a court takes patience and compassion, especially when serving people who may be frustrated, frightened, or seeking resources.
That’s why this week, we’re recognizing the 14 members of our Renton Municipal Court (RMC) team, including our two municipal judges, who work tirelessly to maintain accurate records, assist the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and uphold the rule of law.
During Monday’s council meeting, Mayor Armondo Pavone designated April 20 – April 24, 2026 as Court Personnel Appreciation Week. The proclamation was accepted by Renton Municipal Court Judge Jessica Giner, Court Administrator Yanna Filippidis, and Judicial Specialist Brenda Garcia.
Judge Jessica Giner shared about RMC’s court professionals: “They are the front line of customer service and the administration of justice, and they show up for our community day in and day out with knowledge and compassion.”
Thank you to the Judicial Specialists, Case Managers, Court Operations Specialist, Court Security Professional, Court Services Managers, Judges, and others who make Renton’s court system balance accountability and therapeutic models of justice.
