Recognizing Farmers Market Week in the City of Renton!

Farmers Markets generate over $700,000 in annual sales in Renton, while supporting local farmers, ranchers, artisans, food producers, and small businesses.  Renton’s Farmers Market attracts over 40,000 shoppers each year, providing fresh, healthy, locally produced food while serving as vibrant community gathering places.  

During Monday's city council meeting, Mayor Armondo Pavone designated August 2-8, as Farmers Market Week in Renton.  Farmers Market & Community Garden Coordinator Carrie Olsen, Farmers Market Aid Lacey Mansanarez and long-time Farmers Market volunteer Meri England accepted the proclamation. 

The Renton Farmers Market is celebrating 25 years of fresh produce, local support, and community connection. This year, the market returned to the newly renovated Piazza Park, offering a lively space for shopping and gathering every Tuesday. Its expanded footprint with the new additions from Legacy Square has made the market even more welcoming for visitors. 

There are only seven more weeks of markets left for the 2026. The Renton Farmers Market is held every Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., June through September, at Piazza Park (233 Burnett Ave S.).
