SWAP YOUR COSTUME graphic with event dates

Renton’s annual Halloween Costume Swap is back for 2025!

Help us promote reusability and community by donating your clean, gently worn costumes, hats, masks, and accessories of all sizes!

Drop off your costumes between September 14 and September 26 during regular hours at Renton Community Center, Renton Highlands Neighborhood Center, and Renton City Hall.

If you'd like to donate earlier, look for the “Monster” bin making its debut at the Renton Farmers Market this Tuesday, September 3, located in the Kid’s Patch.

Then, join us on Saturday, September 27 and pick up costumes and accessories for your family. There will also be a photo area for you to capture and share your new looks.

Costume donations are not required to pick up a costume. However, this event can only run when donations are made, so please consider donating and sharing the word with your local community.

This event is made possible by the Renton Municipal Arts Commission, Public Works Department Sustainability team, and our generous costume donors!

Submit your PROS Plan feedback by September 2

Announced in the May 8 issue of This Week in Renton, the Parks and Recreation Department is updating its Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan.

This plan involves getting community feedback, so we want to hear from YOU!

  • Take the survey: Share what you love, what's missing, and what you'd like to see in the future.
  • Interactive map: Drop a pin to highlight places you enjoy or areas that need improvement.

Submit your ideas by Tuesday, September 2 at rentonwa.gov/pros

The PROS Plan is updated every six years to assess Renton’s changing needs, guide the wise use of resources, and keep the city eligible for grant funding. It also helps ensure everyone can enjoy Renton’s parks, recreation programs, and services.
