Ways to give this holiday season!

The Giving Trees are up and sparkling at Renton City Hall, Renton Community Center, and the Don Persson Renton Senior Activity Center!

Stop by and choose from two special ways to make a difference this season:

Gift Giving: Bring holiday cheer to a local Renton family! Choose a tag from the tree and return the unwrapped gift to one of the locations above by December 12. Special thanks to the Renton Salvation Army for connecting us with families in need.

Gift of Play: Share the joy of recreation! Your donation helps make Renton Parks and Recreation programs accessible to everyone by supporting registration fees and program opportunities.  Donations can also be made year-round online.

You can also make a difference by supporting food donations for families and furry friends.

The city is also collecting non-perishable foods at two city locations from November 12, 2025, through January 16, 2026.

  • Renton City Hall Lobby (1055 S. Grady Way)
    Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.– 4 p.m.
  • Renton Community Center (1715 Maple Valley Hwy)
    Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Renton Police Food Drive: The Renton Police Department (RPD) will also be collecting food donations during Battle of the Badges: Holiday Lights 2025 on December 6 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Renton Technical College (3000 NE 4th St.).

Citywide food resources: Need food resources this holiday season? Share these Renton-area resources with anyone who might need an extra hand.

Renton Police Shop with a Cop

Each year, RPD also hosts a Shop with a Cop to give youth in need a memorable morning with our officers. Participants enjoy breakfast, create a craft, take a photo, and shop for holiday gifts for themselves and their immediate families

We partner with Communities In Schools of Greater King County to identify families who would benefit from the experience.

Shop with a Cop is funded entirely by donations, and contributions are welcome year-round.

To support the program or learn more, please contact Police Communications & Community Engagement Coordinator, Stephanie Hynes
