The Dragon Egg Hunt is Almost Here!
Get ready for an exciting adventure - your quest for hidden treasures begins Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m. If you pre-registered, you will receive the full list of clues in an email at 9 a.m. But don't worry if you missed the registration - the clues will be shared on the Arts Commission's social channels (Facebook and Instagram) throughout the weekend. Here's everything you need to know to make the most of the hunt!

Important Tips for Your Journey:

  • One egg per family! Each family can claim only one egg, so please be considerate and allow other adventurers the chance to find their own treasure.
  • Keep an eye out for hidden treasure! In addition to the dragon eggs, look for special glass eggs and tokens from Renton Arts Glass scattered throughout the city. Could these be additional treasures? Only you can uncover the answer!
  • Respect the realms! The majority of eggs will be hidden outdoors. Please do not disturb the guardians of local businesses. If an egg is hidden inside a building, the clue will specify that.
  • Log your find for extra rewards! Each egg has a umber and a QR code. When you log your discovery, you'll be entered into a special prize drawing, giving you even more chances to win!

Gear up, sharpen your wits, and prepare to start your hunt this Saturday, April 5. May your journey be filled with excitement and treasure!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

  1. One egg per family - what does that mean?
Yes, when we say one egg per family, we mean that each family can physically claim only one egg. You're welcome to continue searching for more eggs, but once you have found your egg, that's the one you should log.
Be sure to log your egg using the number and QR code inside the egg to enter the prize drawing! Logging your egg is important for your chance to win additional treasure.
  2. Can I log more than one egg?
You can only log one egg per family. If you find additional eggs, you can continue searching for fun, but please only log the first one you claim. Each egg has a unique identifying number, and logging more than on would disqualify your entries.
  3. Glass eggs and tokens - Are they keepers?
Yes! You can keep any glass eggs and tokens from Renton Arts Glass that you find. These are special bonus treasures, so enjoy them as part of your hunt adventure.
  4. Are there any eggs hidden inside businesses?
Most of the eggs are hidden indoors. However, there are a few eggs hidden inside businesses, and we will specify in the clues. Please remember to be respectful and do not disturb businesses that are not part of the hunt.
  5. How do I log my egg find?
Each egg has a number and a QR code inside the egg. To log your find, simply scan the QR code with your phone and follow the steps on the landing page to enter your egg into the special prize drawing.
  6. What are the Golden Eggs?
Hidden among the regular eggs are 3 Golden Eggs! These are extra-special prizes, and if you find one, you will receive an extra-special treasure at the Dragon's Landing event on Sunday, April 13.
  7. Are there any restrictions on where I search?
We ask that you respect the realms by focusing your search outdoors. Please do not disturb businesses that are not part of the hunt. If an egg is hidden inside a business, the clue will specifically say so.
  8. When do the clues drop?
Clues will be dropped throughout the weekend starting, Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m. Follow the clues on our social media channels (Facebook and Instagram) for updates.
