Compact fluorescent bulbs and tubes contain mercury and should not be thrown in the garbage. Residents and businesses can drop off up to ten bulbs and ten tubes per vehicle per day at King County's Bow Lake and Factoria transfer stations. The service is free and available to all residents. Broken bulbs and tubes must be sealed in a bag or a box. Incandescent, halogen, and LED bulbs and tubes are not accepted.
