Legacy Square

Legacy Square is a visionary project designed to create an inclusive arts and culture hub that will be a lasting amenity providing entertainment, activations, and opportunities for our residents, businesses, community, and visitors for many years to come in Renton's downtown area. This summer, it will harness the excitement of the World Cup 2026, coming to Seattle for its initial launch.

The space will serve as a vibrant location for watch parties, the arts, play, events, and more. This initiative strives to ensure accessibility for all, regardless of financial constraints, demographics, or backgrounds. Thank you RAVE Foundation for their partnership and contribution of the soccer mini pitch.

We are looking forward for the community to leave their LEGACY.

Why are we doing this?

Every event at Legacy Square is designed to create movement, from the Square into your storefronts. The goal of the Square is to:

Drive visitors to Renton
Create reasons for people to stay, explore, and shop local
Support small businesses during a high-traffic summer season
Plan for what Legacy Square can become long-term

Renton Ready to Play Business Hub

To help Renton businesses prepare for the world's soccer tournament in the summer of 2026 with clear steps, dates, rules, and links to official resources.

Legacy Square Construction

Legacy Square construction began June 2025. The project is broken into three phases. Legacy Square will include a futsal court, grassed gathering area, large video screen and stage, play structure, art displays, space for food trucks and small business opportunities. The Square will open in June 2026.
