Join the city’s Community and Economic Development Department for five Renton Business Information monthly sessions between February and June to learn how your business or organization can benefit from the largest sporting event in the world coming to our region.

The FIFA World Cup is the largest sporting event in the world, drawing millions of visitors and billions in global attention. This summer, the Seattle region will be part of the excitement as visitors from around the world arrive to watch six matches in Seattle between June and July.

To help businesses prepare and stay informed, the City of Renton’s Community and Economic Development Department is inviting all Renton businesses to join us for five recurring sessions focused on the FIFA World Cup 2026 and related local initiatives. These initiatives include Legacy Square, Renton Market, and summer activations.

Each session will be an opportunity to hear directly from the city, stay informed on how Renton is preparing, understand what is confirmed for our city, learn about evolving timelines, and explore how your business can get involved.

Renton Ready to Play

What is Renton, Ready to Play?

"Renton, Ready to Play!", is the city’s brand campaign to unite the city and business community with a single, energized voice in anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This initiative aims to attract residents, visitors, and businesses to participate in this global sporting event on a local level.

As the proud home of the Seattle Sounders FC and with Renton’s strategic location in the region, the city will play a key role throughout the World Cup.

Renton will be “Ready to Play” embracing the excitement by hosting free community watch parties right in the heart of downtown at our new Legacy Square. Keep an eye out for more details later this month on Legacy Square activation.
