The City of Renton Emergency Management division is currently monitoring the atmospheric river event and potential impact to the Cedar River and surrounding low-lying areas. Text updates are available through Alert Renton for emergency notifications. Monitoring updates will be posted to rentonwa.gov/emergencyinfo and shared on city social channels as available.
These projects are part of the divisions duties to preserve and maintain the city's streets and sidewalks. When the weather is dry, this is the perfect time for the Public Works Maintenance crews to transition out of winter prep and into spring and summer clean-up. This includes repairing potholes, sidewalks, and asphalt repairs.
The concrete truck purchased last year has allowed staff to address those repairs promptly and efficiently.
