Unique locations include the salmon-bearing Cedar River, the Skate Park at Liberty Park and a boat launch facility at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. Current Parks Projects
Parks Planning executes major park improvement projects to preserve and enhance Renton’s park system for the current population and future generations.
Located in an historic Art Deco firehouse, the Renton History Museum offers changing exhibits, programs, publications, research opportunities, and events to share Renton’s stories, past and present.
There are six trails extending 13 miles and the first TRACK Trail in Washington at Cedar River Trail Park, 1060 Nishiwaki Lane
The Urban Forestry Program maintains the city's urban forest and is a great resource for Renton residents.
Public and private trees comprise Renton's urban forest, adding to the quality of life. In Renton, public trees include those found along street right of ways, in parks, natural areas, and at other city-owned properties.
